Welcome to the New Radicals, now based out of Novi Sad Serbia!
I‘m writing you all from Novi Sad, Serbia now. My wife and I moved in at the end of January with the others on the team. Right now we have 6 people that we’ve been planning together with. Oliver is still in Italy, though, working on his license so we just have 5 adults now & the 3 kids.
It’s amazing how many miracles the Lord has done for us to get us here today. We started planning the move towards the beginning of last year. God has been speaking to us & moving us in the direction of opening up a new training center for youth somewhere in Europe & has brought the team together over this last year slowly but surely. We were looking at a few possibilities in what city to start the work in. We were looking into Amsterdam Holland, Munich Germany, & Novi Sad Serbia. We went on the road in October through December of last year scouting out the possibilities of working in Holland & Germany & opening up a volunteer center there. We got a great response from both countries & met so many wonderful people that got excited about us working with them there. But in the end the Lord has led us here to Novi Sad, Serbia. We’ve all been making a lot of trips here over the years to Serbia & we all have a real love for the country.
I also was in Bosnia & Kosovo when I first came over to Europe for a few years & I look back at those times with so many fond memories. It’s funny how many little things happened over this last year that kind of pushed us in this direction. We were also thinking to open up an apartment in Szeged, Hungary near the Serbian border while we work on our visas & paper work but no one wanted to rent us an apartment for only a few months. When praying about it we all got the faith to move straight here to Serbia, we are presently renting one floor of a big 10 bedroom house that we hope to take over the whole thing by the summer of this year & fill it up with volunteers.
Please keep the visa situation in your prayers as we will be working on it over the next few months. It’s always exciting branching out to pioneer a new thing & as always God is doing so many miracles for us. A friend gave us a car & with each step forward the Lord is supplying the funds & personnel to do the big job ahead of making a difference in Serbia.
We are planning on having a open house party in the beginning of March over a weekend. If you any of you want to come for a visit during that time we would love to have you as soon as we finalize the exact dates I will send out another message with the specifics.
Thank you all for your love prayers & support. We desperately need all the help we can get. Every day of life is a miracle & it’s wonderful to see as we leap out by faith across the chasm of uncertainty our heavenly father is always there to catch us & give us wings. There are no impossibilities & we are only limited by our faith to believe. God bless & keep you all!!
